The resulting nanofibers exhibited good antifungalactivities and positive sensory properties for EO. In an interesting study,Zhang et al. [102] fabricated an active nanofiber film containing Zanthoxylum bungeanum EO into polyvinyl alcohol/β-cyclodextrin andtested its efficacy against Penicillium, Aspergillus, and Botrytis cinereacausing qualitative degradation of strawberry and cherry. The resultsshowed that the nanofiber exhibited enhanced water vapor permeabilityand mechanical properties.
