The goal of every high quality NMC team is to optimize the use of information, people, and resources to achieve the best clinical outcomes for patients [11] . In order to meet this goal, teams must have four key characteristics: effective leadership, positive attitudes, successful collaboration, and efficient communication [411] . Teams consisting of these key components create an atmosphere of mutual trust and expertise. A cohesive team will have effective communication, successful collaboration, and mutual support for each member [11] . A distinguished team within a NMC setting should also have a competent leader.
