• Records are categorized as per their definitions:
• Transient information is to be managed by individuals.
• Primary records are by nature to be stored and archived.
• Hold records must be kept indefinitely, until the legal process is totally terminated. After this timeframe, the record is categorized as primary record and must be managed accordingly.
• Restricted record must have a controlled distribution list attached to them, they are by nature confidential.
• Confidential records must have a controlled distribution list as well.
