The second benefit of the Training Laboratory for teaching
assistants is the way the website can be used as a tool for
learning. If the laboratory demonstrators are asked a question
that is covered in the website the first step is to point the
students to the relevant resource. For example, the students are
unaware of how to measure the current in a circuit with a
digital multimeter. The laboratory demonstrator would then
show the students the relevant resources available in regards to
using the digital multimeter, and how to undertake electrical
measurements. This is followed by asking the students if they
have reviewed the information contained within the resource.
