Some gamers showed frustration and some lost interest or
commented on their own performance in a negative way. On the
whole, however, the gamers found the challenge of mastering the
console stimulating. They learned something new and managed to
handle a device that was not primarily designed “for the “old” and
“crippled”, as one gamer commented. Once they had successfully
learned to handle the system, their physical ability was sufficient
for mastering the console well enough. This mastery of the console
relates to the theory of physical literacy, since mastering the
game system provides a gamer with the experience of a body and
physical abilities that still function. In other words, gamers find
that can still trust and rely on themselves, giving them confidence
in these activities, that their physical ability was not failing.
