The choice of manufacturing strategy impacts the total order-to-delivery time that customers experience. The four strategies are engineer-to-order (ETO), make-to-order (MTO), assemble-to-order (ATO), and make-to-plan (MTP). It is also common to refer to MPT as make-to-stock (MTS).
