The children of Mexico were chosen to be a "target culture" for comparison and contrast. The objectives of this project were to train students to listen to others, to make positive statements about themselves and others, to interact constructively with others, to compare and contrast ways that children play, to learn at least three Spanish words or phrases each session, and to participate in activities depicting various forms of play. It was to look into how and when the global citizenship education should begin in a school setting, how the primary school students respond positively to global citizenship education related activities, and how secondary school students could benefit from multicultural education (Hahn, 1983).
