The services are wonderfully convenient. You can arrange for a pick-up time that suits you, and if you are not home for a delivery, you can pick it up from your local convenience store. Delivery is usually the next day and prices are reasonable. You can have a suitcase picked up from an address in Tokyo and taken to an address in Osaka for about 2,000 yen, which is less than US$20, including insurance. The 1,600-kilometer trip from Tokyo to Okinawa takes two days and costs about 3,000 yen-a small investment for excellent service. No wonder other countries wish they were as lucky as the Japanese.
