It is important to identify the roles that humans play in the knowledge
management processes. From the study of Schreiber et al. [Schreiber 99], six roles are
considered for developing the KMS for the organization. However, the number of
roles could be less in smaller projects, and other roles such as project manager could
be added to the processes in larger project. The correlation and responsibility of each
role are illustrated in figure II.3 and briefly explained.
