US in 2009–2010 the percentage of daily protein intake in
men and women aged 70 years and older was at breakfast
19 and 17%, respectively, at lunch 24 and 28%, respectively,
and at dinner 47 and 45%, respectively, while total
protein intake was 74.4 g/d in older men and 60.1 g/d in
older women(62).
