Notes regarding prereq courses:
1. You don’t have to have all the courses done prior to the time you actually submit your application, just before you matriculate.
2. You may complete these courses at any regionally accredited college or university.
3. If your math or science courses are over 10 years old, you will need to retake them to use them for the prereqs.
4. The prerequisite courses must be complete with a C or higher.
5. You need to have earned a bachelors degree prior to starting the program, but it does not matter if it was a BS or a BA or which field it was in.
6. If you are taking a CLEP test through www.collegeboard.org to fulfill a prereq, you must pass the test with a 50 or higher the first time.
Application notes:
1. You may choose Boston or Worcester or either on the application.
2. Our minimum GPA to be reviewed is 2.5 overall, but the average GPA of the accepted student tends to be closer to 3.2.
3. Since we have rolling admissions and we start reading applications in September (when the application opens for the following September), I suggest applying as soon as possible. Please keep in mind that Boston spots usually fill up very quickly so early application can be critical. Also, the number of Boston seats available changes each year. The February 1 deadline is not a hard deadline – we continue to review students until all seats are filled.
4. We do not keep a waitlist from year to year.
5. The MCPHS application is free. You may also use the DHCAS application instead if you wish.
6. You must provide transcripts from all schools attended.
7. We advise you to talk about any experience you have in the resume or personal statement.
8. For AP scores to count, you must have earned a 4 or a 5. CLEP must be 50 or higher.
9. We ask for 1 recommendation from someone who knows you professionally and 1 from someone who knows you academically. They should be mailed by the recommender to our main campus address (see my signature line below).
Tuition:
The tuition & fees information can be viewed here under undergraduate programs. Check the Worcester link if you prefer that campus.
Flat rate tuition applies when a student is between 12 and 18 credits in fall term or spring term or 9+ credits in the summer.
The tuition & fees for one year (fall, spring and summer) total approximately $42,300. This program is 4 terms long (fall, spring, summer, fall).
The per-credit tuition ($1090/credit) only applies if you are above or below the limits listed above in a term.
Transfer/post-bacc students are eligible for need-based aid and regular loans and payment plans.

English Language Proficiency:
If English is not your first language, you will need to show language proficiency proof at least 2 months prior to starting, either through TOEFL (79), IELTS (6.5) or our own Compass language assessment test (270 or higher): www.mcphs.edu/compass
We can conditionally accept you first and then you can forward the language proficiency proof 2 months before the start of the program.
Foreign Transcript Evaluation:
If you have any college/university coursework done outside the US, you MUST have your transcripts evaluated, course-by-course, by www.wes.org. That is the only evaluation service we accept and we cannot review your file without this evaluation report. We do recommend the ICAPP service so you can access your official transcripts if you ever need them in the future.
