This project aims to develop a mobile application for the blind. The application is an indoor and outdoor navigation developed based on several algorithms, such as path estimation and scene recognition. Using with pedometer shoes and floor plans, this application can navigate the blind walking into indoor places. For outdoor navigation, this application uses Global Positioning System (GPS) and Bing Map to navigate the blind walking to outdoor places. The application can be commanded by voice as well as simple swipe motions on the screen. This project consists of 2 parts:
