The enumeration of both B. cereus
vegetative cells and spores was determined, respectively before
and after heating at 80 C for 10 min by plating two 0.1 mL aliquot
on selective chromogenic culture media such as Mannitol Egg Yolk
Polymyxin agar (MYP, Biolife, Milan, Italy) and Polymyxin Pyruvate
Egg-Yolk Mannitol Bromothymol Blue (PEMBA, Oxoid) agar.
