The desorption H2O, 0.1 M NaOH, and 95% ethanol were found to be 30.01%,31.11% and 46.68%, respectively. This result indicates that various mechanisms contribute to the adsorption of phenol on T. orientalis but chemisorption might be the main mechanism. Furthermore,ethanol and NaOH were effective reagents for the regeneration of the spent activated carbons prepared in this study.
