Virfen has researched four potential markets.
Group 1 High-level managers who travel a lot and need non-fiction information quickly. Also academics whose books tend to be larger and heavier to carry. These would be early adopters, and ready to pay $300
Group 2 Middle-level office workers who read while commuting to work. Also university and high school students. Virfen would have to price the Reader at $150 to penetrate this market.
Group 3 Mass market. General public. Consumers ready to pay a retail price of between $75 and $100.
Group 4 Poorer export markets (e.g. Southland) $60
