I believe Hormones' staff wrote plot that are based on everyday occurrences that would stimulate critical thinking among audiences and also tries to capture the capricious nature of a lot of teenagers in the process. This teacher's actions, although a bit exaggerated, does have a bit of reality in it. And Jane, as a young teenager, chose to respond in what she thinks is the best way, but this is a bit reckless and not without consequences. Similarly, people like Boss who are naturally rational and intellectual, fell prey to his own emotions regarding Non and chose to step on him at his vulnerable moment last episode instead of trying to actually help the situation. It is plot like this that makes Hormones the series that it is known for.
