Greetings,
At QuizGroup, we aim to protect our partners in the best way. YouTube rolled up a new policy called “monetization suspension” on 23 October, 2014.
Note that YOUTUBE IS CHANGING THE WAY IT TREATS THIRD-PARTY GLOBAL BLOCK CLAIMS. In the past, you could resolve third-party global block claims simply by taking infringing video down—but under YouTube new policy, this will no longer be the case. DO NOT DELETE THE VIDEO BLOCKED! Deleting the blocked video may make it impossible for your channel to take further action to have monetization reinstated.
Channels may have monetization suspended, because of the multiple infractions (more than three), including:
- Content ID global blocks (Third-party global block claim) -- even if videos have been deleted
- Community guidelines strikes
- Copyright strikes
For example, channel with one (1) global block claim + two (2) copyright strikes is a subject to monetization suspension.
You receive warning notifications on your YouTube Channel Dashboard from YouTube every time your channel incurs an infraction and you have an opportunity to solve a problem, BEFORE having monetization suspended in 40 days.
IF THE CHANNEL DOES NOT TAKE ANY ACTION, IT WILL LOSE AN ABILITY TO MONETIZE VIDEOS and any previously monetized videos will stop serving ads.
So, if you get that notification from YouTube, that means you have 40 days from that point to resolve the issues to keep earning on your channel.
WHAT CAN I DO IF ONE OF MY VIDEOS GETS A STRIKE AGAINST IT?
To resolve third-party global block claims please arrange Content ID dispute. Follow our instructions in the Support section of your personal partners dashboard.

WHAT CAN I DO IF MY MONETIZATION GETS SUSPENDED?
If you are not able to resolve the issues, YouTube will suspend monetization on your channel for six months. Channel may become eligible to have monetization reinstated if it demonstrates good behavior and is in good standing after six months.
Note that monetization may be disabled without prior notice in case of invalid click activity.
