I am in the process of issuing a memo in regards to the hotel decision not to pay bonus this year due to poor performance, please explain to your teams that the hotel has run at a loss this year and we are not in a position to pay bonus due to the fact of the political situation and current world economy we did not achieve our targets. Also be reminded that in the employment contracts it does say that bonus is based on performance, which our hotel failed achieve.
In addition to this should any employee be unhappy with our decision, they are to respect the chain of command and either inform their immediate supervisors who can share with meor come and see me personally to discuss. Under no circumstances are they to approach any of the owning company personnel to ask for special requests. Any communication with the owning company is to come from myself.
Please be guided accordingly, take this very seriously and brief all employees without delay.
