There is no clear difference between levels of Co, Ni and Mn in Arabidopsis leaves before and during senescence. Little is known regarding the phloem mobility of Co and Ni while Mn is thought to have limited mobility in the phloem (Bu- kovac and Wittwer 1957).
In summary, Arabidopsis appears to possess a pattern of nutrient mobilization typical of higher plants. Notable excep- tions are Na and Mo that are either less (Na) or more (Mo) mobile than would be predicted based on results from other species.
