EU-UK fizzy drink sales slump
Consumption of fizzy drinks in the UK is set to fall from 6.2 billion liters in 2011 to six billion liters this year, which analyst Mintel said would knock £800 million off sales, the Daily Mirror reports.
Mintel said one in four people, and one in three 16- to 24-year-olds, have cut intake in the past six months.
Half said they had done so because of high sugar levels. (30 July 2014)
