Conclusions
Considering the input costs and sale proceeds from
fish, rice and straw the benefit–cost ratio (BCR) was
highest in ditch size with 10% of the total rice plots.
Results indicate that the integrated rice–fish culture
with the 10% ditch size of the total cultivable land
is more profitable than those of others. Important
research questions remain regarding the application
of additional feed for further fish production
and the effect of additional feed on rice production
that result in highest production or profit.
