Fig. 9 shows the schematic diagram of the test platform for the compact hydrostatic-driven electric generator. The input hydrostatic energy is supplied by a variable pump and the output electrical energy is consumed in an electrical load which mainly consists of adjustable resistors. A flowmeter, pressure sensors, current sensors, and voltage sensors are used to detect the input and output variables, and a multichannel oscilloscope MSO70404C produced by Tektronix is used to acquire the alternating electrical signals. The machine under test also has an output shaft so that the rotor’s rotational speed can be measured with a tachometer.
