New Zealand Tourism Strategy 2015 Mission
The New Zealand Tourism Strategy 2015 is an improvement of the previous strategy. With the help of the new one the Ministry of Tourism is trying to accomplish the mission of developing tourism and transforming New Zealand in a prosperous and world-leading destination.
New Zealand Tourism Strategy 2015 Outcomes
To guide the tourism industry towards its vision, NZTS 2015 had four outcomes:
1. New Zealand delivers a world-class visitor experience
2. New Zealand’s tourism sector is prosperous and attracts ongoing investment
3. The tourism sector takes a leading role in protecting and enhancing the environment
4. The tourism sector and communities work together for mutual benefit.
Tourism Industry Association’s role
TIA, representing the private sector, partnered with the Ministry of Tourism and Tourism New Zealand to develop NZTS 2015. The document was informed by extensive consultation with industry groups, local government, central government and interest groups.
