The CNC Programmer is responsible for the writing and maintaining of NC programs for CNC machines, such as Lathes, Mills and EDM (wire-cut) machines. The CNC Programmer is also responsible for the creation and maintaining of the jigs and fixtures needed to hold the work in the CNC machines.
The CNC Programmer is responsible for a small set-up team, that will assist the CNC Programmer in selecting tools, setting up CNC machines and inspecting the first parts that are produced.
The CNC Programmer will perform trainings to his/her team as well as keep his/her team motivated and inform HR and the (CNC) Program Manager about the condition of his/her team.
When needed, the CNC Programmer may be asked to help program at other facilities.
