The questionnaire asked about demographic characteristics,
and participants’ perceptions towards air pollution. Demographics
included age, gender, educational level, annual household income,
travel experience, and the health status of their children. Survey
questions regarding participant perception towards air pollution
asked participants what they thought were the primary sources of
air pollution and whether or not there was a need for government
policies to protect the environment. This study examined the
differences between residents’ perception of air pollution sources
and main causes of air pollution reported by governmental
authority. Convenience sampling was done at the community and
the hospital sites with the intention of getting more enrollments
during the specific period of data collection time and for data
comparison. Data was collected through face–to–face interviews.
