Tiger Woods hits full shots in recovery from back surgery
Tiger Woods has begun to hit full shots in practice as he continues his recuperation following back surgery.
The 38-year-old world number four has not played since the WGC-Cadillac Championship in March and had an operation that month.
His agent Mark Steinberg told the PGA Tour's website: "He feels better each day and is able to extend his swing."
It is hoped he may be fit for the Open Championship, which he has missed only once since his debut there in 1995.
The Open begins on 17 July at Hoylake, where Woods won his third and most recent Open in 2006.
