Coins of Macedonia in the Alpha Bank Collection

91.600 persons visited the temporary exhibition “COINS OF MACEDONIA IN THE ALPHA BANK COLLECTION”, organised by Alpha Bank in collaboration with the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, has come to an end. The exhibition, which presented 270 gold and silver coins of that span the history of Macedonian coinage from the sixth to the first Century BC, ran from 26 February 2009 to 31 January 2010, even though it had been scheduled to run until 8 June 2009. However, due to its particular interest and the great public turnout, an extension was given.
The exhibition was accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue-album in Greek and English, with explanatory texts and photographs of 171 coins,
