(2010) in their studies searched for almost hundreds of publications in order to describe characteristics of scientifically literate individual and as a result they stated that an individual who is scientifically literate should have an understanding in “... (a) basic concepts of science, (b) nature of science, (c) ethics that control the scientist in his [sic] work, (d) interrelationships of science and society, (e) interrelationships of science and the humanities, and, (f ) differences between science and technology.” (p. 206).
