In terms of the results, the highest ellagitannins accumulation (ellagic acid, corilagin and geraniin) was found in rambutan peels at the harvest stage in both cultivars, especially in Rongrien containing ellagitannins 1240 mg/dried fruit.
These three quantified ellagitannins were highlighted due to their great radical scavenging properties (Thitilertdecha et al., 2010)
