SIGNAL POWER RESULT
Figure 7 and 8 show the result signal power in dBm from
spectrum analyzer without attach FSS structure between two
horn antennas. The signals propagate through the FSS structure
was measured at receiver antenna by using spectrum analyzer.
The result of signal power without attaches FSS structure is
-34.88 dBm. When the FSS structure have attached between
two horn antennas, the signal power increases to -22.99 dBm.
The difference value of power is 11.89 dBm. The WIFI signal
has increased to 11.89 dBm when the FSS structure was
attached between two horn antennas. When the signal
propagate through the FSS structure, FSS structure are tune the
frequency and cause the main lobe of the signal more focus in
2.45GHz. Hence, the FSS structure can increase the gain of the
signal and power respectively.
The square loop array design as a frequency selectivity that is
suitable used for the WLAN devices application. In ‘InSSIDer
version 2.1’ software over the Wi-Fi frequency range of 2.4
GHz has measured the band pass frequency selective structure
which attach to WLAN devices was successful in increasing the
power of received signal. This results in a feasible technique for
increasing the received power coverage in a wireless system.
Figure 9 shows the signal power (amplitude, dBm) from
“Inssider 2.1” software in 5 minute.
