I like the Japanese style and culture. Like how most things are simple and how materialistic items seem to be handcrafted one by one because it's so detailed. I'm not sure, but when I buy something in Japan and compare it to probably the same thing in America, I just get the feeling that the one I bought from Japan is much more higher in quality, even if it's the same thing.
The food is rarely as oily as Chinese food and it's great if you're used to it.
I also respect how everyone is taugh to be extremely courteous. I'm sure there are couteous people in America too, but it seems like the Japanese are just extremely helpful. Like most people I've met would help you and try to understand you. It's nice how they respect everyone.
Also, I've heard that Japan is trying to cut down on pollution. My teacher said that they are still probably the number one producer in pollution, but they are taking the greatest effort in trying to preserve nature at the same time.
It is annoying to hear all the "Asians all look alike." or "Japanese and Chinese, is there a difference?" I like Japan well enough, but hearing that there is seemingly no difference in Asians is insulting. There are differences, that may be subtle, but not all Asians are the same.
