Scientific literature provides some studies focused on the optimization of irrigation management coupling meteorological and hydrological models; here we report some of the main international studies: the EPIC-PHASE model developed at the center of Toulouse (1997) [4], the real-time scheduled irrigations approach in United Kingdom proposed by Gowing and Ejieji (2001) [5], the Danish warning system "eWarning" (2003) [6] and real-time forecasts for daily evapotranspiration proposed by Cai et al., (2007) [7].
