As I’ve mentioned before, showing the soles of ones feet in Thailand is rather insulting, as the feet touch the ground and are viewed as dirty. It is also rude to cross one leg over the other in Thailand, which is something I would have to work on if I were to visit. Additionally, I would need to learn the proper rules for giving the “Wai,” the traditional Thai greeting which varies depending on the age and status of the recipients as a sign of respect.
