Currently the company is doing extremely well in comparison to the retail industry as a whole. Today Wal-Mart has 1,100 discount stores, 1,900 Super Centers 95 Neighborhood Markets, and 550 Sam’s Club locations. Wal-Mart is continuing its strategy of opening many new stores, which allows it to remain extremely competitive.
