Introducing the Qantas Dreamliner
New era. Same spirit.
In just one year the first Qantas 787-9 Dreamliner takes flight, opening up new frontiers and redefining the travel experience for our customers.
Find out what makes the new Qantas Dreamliner the most advanced long-haul aircraft of its type anywhere in the world.
As the most advanced long-haul aircraft of its type, passenger comfort is at the core of the Qantas Dreamliner design. Our Dreamliner will feature 236 seats - less than most other aircraft of its type, to provide optimal comfort and space for every passenger.
The Dreamliner experience
The Qantas Dreamliner is fitted with state-of-the-art technology to reduce turbulence giving passengers a smoother flight. Every seat has been designed to offer the ultimate comfort for long-haul flyers.
There's thousands of hours of entertainment onboard, along with larger baggage lockers and bigger windows. The windows in our Dreamliner are 65 per cent larger than comparable aircraft windows, allowing passengers to see more of the world.
New destination opportunities
Thanks to its lighter carbon fibre body, pioneering GEnx engines and advanced onboard systems, the Dreamliner also uses less fuel - an impressive 20 per cent less fuel than a similarly sized aircraft - which opens up a whole new world of new destination opportunities.
