where Im= 1 for microwave drying, and zero otherwise. The coefficients n1 and n2 were estimated to be 2.12 and −0.58,respectively. The dehydration rate, related to the sample of kp and n, increased significantly with both air temperature and microwave power (r2> 0.95). Taking into account the dependence of kp and n on the operating parameters, the following model was therefore proposed to describe the dependence of MR on time, microwave power, air temperature and drying method.
