Element free Galerkin method has been implemented to obtain numerical solutions of Eqs. (17)–(19) under boundary
conditions (20) and (21). For computational purposes, the region of integration g is considered as 0 to g1, where g1 corresponds
to g!1which lies very well outside the momentum and thermal boundary layers. Without loss of generality, g1
has been fixed as 10. The results are computed for g1 < 10 as well as for g1 > 10. It is found that for g1 > 10, the results do
not show any variation up to the desired order of accuracy. So it is appropriate to choose g1 as 10. On the basis of grid independence
test as shown in Table 1, the domain is represented by 401 uniformly spaced node points
