The film is essentially about growth, and how Alice comes into her own to make a difference in the world and to follow her dreams. Her impossible thoughts are frowned upon in the real world, and she finds in Wonderland that it doesn’t matter whether they are frowned upon or not, but that impossible things can happen.
The edginess of the film is remarkable and a gloomy, vintage and appealing light to Wonderland. It has a modern day edge that all ages can enjoy, and brings to light what happened to Alice after her first return from Wonderland. Overall, this film was very well directed and well casted. Enjoy!
