An application form is completed by the organization requesting a Volunteer. This form will be provided by the JICA Volunteer Coordinating Team which will handle the process and consult with you regarding the JICA Volunteer Programme. downloadable from here
The draft of the Application Form and Proposed Tentative Work Plan must be sent to JICA Volunteer Coordinating Team upon completion.
After finalizing the draft, your form must be sent to your line agency along with a carbon copy to the JICA Volunteer Coordinating Team via email, fax or post. Your request form must be endorsed by the National Treasury for South Africa, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Lesotho and for Swaziland, which are the coordinating agencies of Japanese ODA.
After the request is endorsed, JICA will start recruitment in Japan to find a suitable Japanese Volunteer. The process of the deployment of the JICA Volunteer usually takes a little over a year due to the recruitment and pre-training in Japan.
