In this article, some aspects relating to the hybrid
car technology are examined. Hybrid technology’s main
benefit is the emission of lower levels of pollutants in the
air when compared with conventional gas-powered cars.
Hybrid-electric vehicles (HEVs) rely on the combination
of the use of gasoline engines and electric motor(s). In a
gasoline-powered car, gasoline is supplied to the engine
by the fuel tank. This is then ignited and used to power
the transmission, which then turns the wheels, giving
the car motion. On the other hand, an electric engine
uses batteries to provide power to the engine. The power
is sent to the transmission, which drives the vehicle.
