Pelargonium sidoides DC (Family: Geraniaceae), a plant species
predominantly found in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa,
is renowned for its pharmacological properties in treating tuberculosis,
bronchitis, cough, fever and other respiratory-related
ailments (Kayser and Kolodziej, 1997; Matthys et al., 2007;
Brendler and van Wyk, 2008)
