Compression therapy
There was no significant difference between the two groups
concerning compression therapy, which was administered to
85% of patients in the ‘pain’ group and 88% of patients in the
‘no pain’ group (Table 2). However, this therapy was prescribed
to 97% and 94% of patients, respectively, during the healing
process and so 12% of patients in the ‘pain’ group did not get
their prescribed compression compared with 6% of patients in
the ‘no pain’ group.
