The stream results are presented in Table 4. It was calculated
that approximately 99% N2 was separated by the Sep 2.
In addition, CO2 in the outlet stream from the equilibrium
reactor is more than that of the inlet, indicating reaction (R12)
is more favored than reaction (R11) in the current process.
Water in the feed stream to the methanol synthesis reactor is
not desirable due to the water gas shift reaction. In summary,
the treatment of 4400 kg h1 of CO2 in flue gas can produce
12,159 kg h1 methanol with a purity of 99.5 wt%.
