Compound 7, a colorless needles, has a molecular formula
of C11H10O4 as deduced from its HRESIMS spectrum, in which
a pseudomolecular ion peak at m/z 229.0489 ([M + Na]+,
calcd. 229.0471) was observed. The spectroscopic evidences
of 7 were similar to those of 4, except for the disappearance
of the methoxy group. Analysis of the molecular formula and
NMR data of 7 indicated that it was the demethylated
derivative of 4. Based on the aforementioned evidence,
compound 7 was assigned as 7-hydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)-
2-methylchromone.
