The station in Chonburi consists of four rows parabolic troughs, which can create up to 100
kW thermal energy. It supplies to a single stage steam screw micro turbine which can generate up to
10 kW electricity. The heat is then used for process heat for a neighbouring company. The system includes a biomass boiler, which allows operation, even after sunset. It is also possible to attach a
storage facility for the energy, but we found out, that it is more practical in Thailand to operate
directly with manpower, instead of making use of larger investments for automatic service.
