The surveys have shown that DuPont employees want to balance work and family responsibilities, feeling deeply committed to both aspects of their lives. The latest research shows that company efforts to satisfy these desires have been successful. Employee perception of support from management for work/life issues improved from the 1995 study and the results indicate employees feel less stress. Support from colleagues is rated high, and women indicated they now have more role models. The study also reported that the feeling of management support is directly connected to employees’ efforts to make the company successful. Employees who use the work/life programs are willing to “go the extra mile.”
