Thank you for the mail and we fully understand your concern and we are putting our best effort to ensure of lift minimum breakdown and shortest recovery time as possible if any lift breakdown.
However, even though the rescue time target has been set and to guarantee the rescue time within a specific time for all cases is not possible because different scenario of lift breakdown require slightly different process and time. The rescue process has to handle with care to ensure safety of both trapped passenger and rescue team. On the other hand if we are rushing on the rescue process it might lead to a serious injure or even death which we definitely can not allow it to happen.
Moreover, since the lift is designed to be the most safety transportation system if compare to others, it is slightly sensitive to any unsafe condition e.g. power supply fluctuation, safety circuitry triggered, error in the control system, component failure/damaged and etc, which it will always stop the lift from normal operation and require a manual reset by lift engineer, as such, sometime it could make the passenger a bit inconvenience and this to ensure that the passenger is safe when ridding the lift even though he/she might be trapped inside the lift car for long hour because there is enough ventilation for breathing.
