At the end of temperature treatment, the growth and survival of
all age groups of fish treated at 37C was significantly lower than
those treated at 27C(Supplementary Table 1). Initially, 19% mortality of fry was recorded in the 9 dah – 37C treatment groups.
There was no mortality during extended rearing period in normal
temperature. An additional similar experiment was conducted
using 2 dah juveniles for growth assessment, in which 2 dah-stage
all-female fry were treated at 37C for 45 days and reared at normal temperature for extended 7 months. The results showed that
