Verify Proper Pellet Cooling: Inadequate pellet cooling
can create several problems: 1) pellets that are susceptible
to mold growth; 2) pellet flow ability problems; and 3) poor
pellet durability. The temperature of cooled pellets with a
diameter of 3/16th inch or less should be within 10 to 15
degrees of ambient air temperature. Cooled temperatures of
larger pellets, such as cubes, should be within 20 degrees of
ambient air temperature. Check cool pellet temperature
regularly to ensure proper cooling.
