state cuts water usage
The national committee on water resources management has ordered state agencies to cut water usage by 10 percent
to tackle the drought crisis, authorities said on july 22.
The newly-established panel, chaired by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, held its first meeting on july 22 at Goverment House.
Prayut said there is not enough water left in thai dams. As a result, a water-saving programme is needed.
"All parties must save water, especially the state," he said.
